Kevin L. Pryor

September 20, 1951 — October 31, 2023

We are gathered here today to celebrate the life of Kevin L. Pryor a man whose presence will be missed by all who had honor of knowing him. Kevin was born on September 20, 1951, in Saint Louis City, a place that he held close to his heart throughout his life. Tragically, he passed away on October 31, 2023, leaving behind a void that can never be filled.

Kevin was a man of many interests and passions. He had an unwavering love for Cardinal baseball and could often be found cheering on his beloved team with fervor and enthusiasm. As a Cardinal baseball fan, he brought joy to those around him through spirited discussions and shared moments of victory.

One of Kevin's proudest accomplishments was his dedicated membership in the craftsman Masonic Lodge #717 for an impressive 47 years. His commitment to the fraternity was unwavering, and he served as the worshipful Master from 1993 to 1994. Throughout his time there, Kevin held various other offices and made lasting connections with fellow members.

In the realm of family and friends, Kevin was cherished by many. He leaves behind his beloved wife Rose Pryor, who stood by his side through thick and thin, embodying the true meaning of love and devotion. Together, they created a legacy built on unwavering support and shared dreams.

Kevin's children, Amy (Thomas) Ahrens and Sarah (Aaron) Guseman were not only lucky to have him as their dedicated father but also as a role model who exemplified love and compassion. He instilled in them values that will guide them throughout their lives.

Kevin also leaves behind grandchildren Abigail Harris, Kevin Mack, Aubrey Guseman, Taylor Guseman, Alexander Ahrens, and Sophia Guseman - a testament to the love he spread throughout generations. His role as a devoted grandfather brought immeasurable joy and his memory will forever be cherished within their hearts.

In addition to his immediate family, Kevin was deeply loved and proceeded in death by his mother Irene, his father Waldren, his brother Freddy, and his sister Barbara. Their bond was unbreakable, and the memories they created together will remain cherished treasures in their hearts.

Kevin's impact extended far beyond his family. His warmth and kind-hearted nature touched the lives of many other friends and family members who were fortunate enough to have him in their lives. He made a lasting impression on all who met him, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity.

To honor Kevin's life and bid him farewell, a visitation service will be held on November 5th, 2023, at the John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Homes - South County Chapel in St. Louis. The visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Masonic service beginning at 7:00 p.m. providing an opportunity for loved ones to offer their final respects and pay tribute to a remarkable man whose presence brightened countless lives.

A final interment service will be held on November 6th, 2023, at the Mount Hope Cemetery Mausoleum and Crematory in St. Louis. The interment service will commence at 11:00 a.m., providing a solemn moment to lay Kevin's earthly remains to rest.
