Kurt A.E. Blecha

July 5, 1982 — October 8, 2025

Kurt A.E. Blecha, age 43, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. A truly loving and gentle soul, Kurt brought joy, warmth, and light to everyone who was fortunate enough to know him. His life was a testament to resilience, kindness, and an unshakable love for the world around him.

Born to Cynthia L. Kaetzel and the late Thomas Charles Blecha, Kurt was a devoted son, a dear brother to Sara J. Sacakli, and a beloved uncle to Farah and Kenan. He was also a cherished nephew of Gary Kaetzel, Jeff Kaetzel, Kathy and Fred Lagos. Kurt’s presence will be deeply missed by many more family members and friends whose lives he touched with his sweet nature, radiant spirit and beautiful smile.

Kurt found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Bowling was his favorite pastime, and he loved walking and being outdoors, where he felt most at peace. He shared countless hikes with his mother, including their memorable climb up St. Frances Mountain in Missouri. He loved fishing, especially the time he caught a fish for his mom’s birthday, a gift that spoke volumes of his thoughtfulness and love.

Camping brought Kurt great happiness, especially his time spent at Sunny Hill Camp in Dittmer, Missouri, where he felt a true sense of community and freedom. His love for animals was boundless, and his appreciation for life itself was evident in every smile, every laugh, and every moment he shared with those around him.

Kurt’s legacy is one of love, joy, and unwavering spirit. Though he faced challenges throughout his life, he never let them define him. Instead, he embraced life with open arms and a full heart.

He will be remembered always—for his kindness, his courage, and the beautiful way he loved.
