Kurt Herman Schmiemeier entered into rest after a six-and-a-half-year battle with cancer on Friday, April 12, 2024, at the age of 69. He was the son of the late Roy and Lorene Schmiemeier.
He leaves behind his devoted wife and best friend Lesia Schmiemeier. His two beloved daughters; the late daughter Lisa (Nathan) Schnaath and daughter Kelly (Jake) Terry. Loving stepchildren that he treated like his very own Peter (Tatyana) Zalutski and Olga (Joseph) Monahan. His cherished grandchildren Chase Schnaath, Gabriel Terry, Faith Terry, Chloe Schnaath, Joy Terry, Eva Terry, Michael Zalutski, Catherine Zalutski, Anastasia Zalutski, Timothy Monahan, Matthew Monahan, and Sophia.
Lesia, Kurt’s devoted wife, stood by his side throughout the six-years and 6 months battle with cancer. Her unwavering care, love, and strength sustained Kurt during his most challenging moments. Lesia’s tireless efforts ensured that Kurt felt comforted and cherished, even in the darkest days. She exemplified the true meaning of love and commitment, and her dedication will forever be etched in our hearts.
Kurt’s passion was baking, and he dedicated 30 years to his career. He also had a love for construction where he would continue to remodel homes for 15 years for his own company called KS Remodeling. However, his greatest love was his family. He will always be remembered as a pillar in their lives. May his memory live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. 🌹
And so, as we bid farewell to Kurt, we remember not only the delicious pastries he created but also the way he brightened our lives. His legacy lives on in the flour-dusted memories of early mornings, the laughter that echoed through the cozy bakery, and the simple joy of baking bread together.
Rest in peace, dear Kurt. Your warm smile and flour-covered hands will forever be etched in our hearts. ❤️
