Kurt Paul Wilhite entered into rest at home on June 15, 2026, at the age of 49. Beloved son of the late Joseph E. and the late Judith Ann, nee Grossmann, Wilhite; dear brother of Keith (Jennifer Warnecke) Wilhite, Kevin (Sara) Wilhite, and Kelly (Josh) Burden; and cherished uncle to Jonah and Megan Wilhite, and Emerson, Amelia, and Violet Burden. Kurt is also survived by many other dear relatives and treasured friends.
Kurt’s journey was defined by his creative spirit. From his early days participating in theater at Christian Brothers College High School to his lifelong love of the stage, he remained a devoted fan of the arts and music. Some of his most cherished memories included attending music events and traveling with friends and family.
Kurt’s professional life was an extension of his passion for the culinary arts. His dedication to his craft earned him two transformative trips to Italy, where he explored the streets of Rome and Florence. These journeys were highlights of his career, allowing him to immerse himself in cooking classes, meet world-class chefs, and bring a piece of Italy back to his own kitchen.
Even at home, Kurt loved to experiment with flavors and presentation, but nothing made him happier than preparing a beautiful meal and sharing it with those he loved.
Kurt was a man of deep connections. His family and dear group of friends will miss his warmth and spirited personality, but they will always remember his remarkable laugh and the joy he brought to their lives. May he rest in peace.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Addiction Recovery Care Association Inc. or LGBTQ Community Center Fund in Kurt’s honor.
