Lawrence Gale Friend, born on March 18, 1949, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of those who cherished him. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, stories, adventure, and unconditional love for his family.

Lawrence was the beloved son of Flossie L. Friend and the dear nephew of the late Uncle Jimmy Friend. He was a devoted father to Brandi (Ronald) Wilson and Mark (Ica) Friend, who were the pride and joy of his life.

He was a proud and loving grandfather to Diamond Juniel, Ronald Juniel, Ryland Juniel, King Juniel, Kimmy Friend, and Samantha Friend. His grandchildren brought him immeasurable happiness, and he treasured every moment spent with them.

Lawrence proudly served his country as a United States Army Veteran, carrying with him a spirit of courage, resilience, and dedication throughout his life. He was known for his adventurous nature and rarely wanted to stay indoors. Whether he was out exploring, visiting his favorite places, or sharing conversation with family and friends, Lawrence always found a way to keep life interesting.

Those who knew him will fondly remember his long-winded stories, which often carried lessons, laughter, and memories from years gone by. He loved his family deeply and never missed an opportunity to remind them how important they were to him.

Lawrence had a sweet tooth that was second to none. He enjoyed fruit snacks, sweets of all kinds, and was especially fond of dining at Denny's Restaurant, a place where he enjoyed good food and good company. He also had a tremendous love for dogs, especially his beloved late companion, Pup-Pup. He leaves behind his faithful dog, China, who brought him comfort and companionship.

Though Lawrence's physical presence will be greatly missed, his stories, laughter, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love for his family will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Lawrence Gale Friend will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives were enriched by knowing him. May he rest in peace.
