Leon Walter

Walter, Leon R. entered into rest on Friday, September 24, 2021, at age 85.   Beloved husband, best friend and soul mate of Marlene J. Walter (nee Todtenhaupt) for 61 years.  Beloved father of Laurie M. (John) Marcolla, Heidi R. (Tom) Vogel, Sr., Kimberly L. (Brian) Bell and Julie M. Weik.  Dear grandfather of 13 and great- grandfather of 7. Dear brother of Donna (Carl) Schneider and the late Norris Walter.  Dear uncle, great-uncle and friend to many.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Wounded Warrior Project are appreciated.

Services:  Visitation Friday, October 1, at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS FUNERAL HOMES (South County), 4830 Lemay Ferry Road (63129), from 11:00 am to the time of funeral service at 1:00 pm Friday.  Interment J. B. National Cemetery with full military honors.
