Leroy Luesse

Luesse, Leroy Alfred., age 85 died peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Monday, February 25, 2013.He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann Luesse (nee Bauer) for 63 years; loving father of Linda (Mark-late) Anderson, James (Peggy) Luesse, Dave (Valerie) Luesse, Mary Beth (Dan) Jenkerson and Lee Ann (Tim) Thompson; dear grandpa of 11 and great-grandpa of 13, dear uncle, cousin and friend to many. Founder of Leroy's Market in Pontoon Beach, Illinois; member of the Granite City Elks Lodge # 1063; member of the Sparta Country Club whose hole-in-one earned him a trophy and years of bragging rights; member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Sparta, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Sparta Chapter of the Southern Illinois Hospice or Bethesda Hospice Care would be appreciated. SERVICES: Funeral from John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Chapel, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. 63129, Friday, 9:15 am to St. George Catholic Church, 4980 Heege Rd 63123 for Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 am. Interment: Resurrection Cemetery. VISITATION: Thursday, 4-8pm February 28, 2013
