Leta L. Zink, nee Abney, passed away on Sunday June 9, 2024, at the age of 87. Loving daughter of the late Charles and the late Cora, nee Meyer, Abney; beloved wife of 68 years to Valentine "Val" Zink; devoted mother to Karen (Dale) Werner, Stephen (Anna) Zink, and Valentine "Sam" (Kara) Zink; treasured grandmother of Kurtis (Rachel) Werner, Kristen (Shane) Nunes, Ryan Zink, Nash (Sophia) Zink, Michael (Joanna) Linam, the late Jacob Zink, and Nicholas Zink; cherished great-grandmother of Charlie, Truman, Harper, and Von. Leta is also survived by many other dear relatives and friends.
Leta lived a full life in her 87 years. In 1957, she became a member of the first graduating class of Lindbergh High School. Following school, Leta worked for many years as a loan officer with Anheuser Busch Employee Credit Union. Leta's faith was a big part of her life, a member of St. John United Church of Christ until her passing.
In her free time, Leta also appreciated a variety of hobbies. She loved to travel, especially on cruises, where she would tour Europe, the United States, and even Thailand. Leta also loved to exercise and keep active, especially in the forms of dancing, bowling, and bike riding. In her quieter moments, Leta was known to enjoy reading and sewing. She will be greatly missed by all of the lives she touched throughout her long, fulfilled life.

Leta's visitation will be held on Thursday June 20, 2024, at St. John's United Church of Christ from 9:00 a.m. until funeral service at 11:00 a.m., also at the church. Interment in Sunset Memorial Park following funeral.
