Linda Diane Belton

May 14, 1960 — March 17, 2024

Wright City

Linda Diane Belton nee Lewis, a beloved soul who touched the lives of many, entered into rest on Sunday, March 17, 2024, in Wright City, at the age of 63. She was born on May 14, 1960, in Webster Groves, where she spent her formative years before eventually making a home in Wright City.

Linda's journey was filled with creativity and a deep passion for arts and crafts. Her hobbies included sewing, crochet, and stenciling, through which she showcased her talent and love for all things artistic. Linda's creative spirit shone brightly in all aspects of her life.

She graduated from Webster Groves High School, laying the foundation for a life dedicated to service and faith. Linda's proudest accomplishments revolved around her unwavering commitment to being a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Wright City. Her faith was a guiding light that shaped her into a compassionate and selfless individual.

On a serene day in March, Linda peacefully entered her heavenly father's arms for eternal rest. Her legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. In her passing, Linda leaves behind a world that is touched by her spirit of generosity and grace.

Linda was also a courageous brain cancer survivor whose resilience in the face of adversity was a source of inspiration to all who knew her. Despite the challenges brought on by years of treatments including radiation, Linda faced each day with unwavering strength and dignity.

As the years passed, Linda’s battle left her with significant disabilities, and she gracefully accepted the changes in her life with a spirit that refused to be broken. Her journey was one of profound courage, as she lost the ability to walk and became reliant on round-the-clock care. Her devoted partner stepped away from the workforce early to provide the care and support Linda needed. Their love for each other was a testament to the depth of their bond, a love that transcended the trials they faced together.

Linda’s legacy is one of love, perseverance, and the enduring human spirit. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished and loved by her dedicated and beloved husband of 30 years Kirk D. Belton, dear father Laurence Eugene Lewis Sr., her late mother Joan M. Lewis, daughters Jennifer Lynn Nash and Tracey Ann (Michael) Leyva nee Nash, brothers Laurence E. Lewis Jr. and David W. Lewis, grandchildren Noah Patrick Bequette, Dylan Micheal Leyva, Claudia Ann O'Donnell, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends.

Linda's life will be celebrated at the John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Home South County Chapel in St. Louis on March 22nd with visitation starting at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. The journey will conclude with interment at New St. Marcus Cemetery at 1:30 PM on the same day.

In honoring Linda's memory, let us carry forward the light she brought into our lives—an enduring legacy of faith, love, and kindness that will continue to inspire generations to come.
