Linda Illert

Illert, Linda passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at the age of 82.

Beloved wife of the late John Illert; dearest mother of Bob Whitson (girlfriend Kelli), Debbie (Dave) Arcipowski and Paul (Kim) Whitson; dear grandmother of Ashley, Emily and Kristin and several great-grandchildren; loving “mom” to her late dog Meesha; dear sister-in-law of Paul Illert; daughter of the late Jane (nee Owen) Cassell & Robert Cassell; dear sister of Bonnie (Ron) Barron and the late Barb (surviving A.J.) Barraco; dear aunt, cousin and friend.

Linda LOVED animals.  Anyone who knew her said she was a “sweetie.”  She had a kind and gentle soul.  Linda will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.  

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons City Chapel, 7027 Gravois Avenue, Saint Louis, MO. 63116.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Humane Society of St. Louis, 1201 Macklind Avenue, Saint Louis, MO 63110.
