Lonny "Raymond" Massey

Lonny “Raymond” Massey, 77, entered in rest on February 11, 2023. Son of the late Longino and Audrey, nee Blue, Massey, loving husband of Pamela Massey, nee Mayer, beloved father of Mark Massey and Matthew Massey, and brother of the late David Massey.

Raymond was a graduate of the University of Missouri-Rolla and later earned his master’s degree from Webster University in engineering. He was a veteran of the Army and later served in the Army Reserves. Raymond was retired from the US Department of Defense where he worked for many years as liaison at Boeing. Upon retirement he and his wife moved to a farm in Gerald, Missouri where they enjoyed gardening. Also, in retirement he had several rental properties that he maintained and managed. He was a lifelong supporter of Boy Scouts, helping his sons earn the rank of Eagle Scout. Raymond also enjoyed Skiing and was a former member at Salem Lutheran Church in Affton, Missouri.

Memorials are appreciated to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm, Monday, February 20, 2023, at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons South City Chapel, 7027 Gravois Blvd, St. Louis 63116. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, also at the funeral home. Interment in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri
