Louis Joseph Immethun

Louis Joseph Immethun, 79, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. Louis was born Feb. 14, 1944, in Evansville, IN, son of Joseph Victor Immethun and Veronica “Ronnie” Ellen (Spalding) Immethun.

 

Preceding Louis in death are his wife of 59 years, Verna S. Immethun, nee Dinkins, parents Joseph and Veronica Immethun, and sisters Beverly R. (Joseph T.) Stewart and Sue A. (Gerald S.) Harbaugh.

 

Remaining to cherish Louis's memory are his four children; Donna Graf, Brian (Tracy) Immethun, Cathe (Charles) Voege, and Joseph (Jill) Immethun; grandchildren Stephanie Graf (Michael Harper), Zachary (Tisha) Sturdevant, Tyler Immethun, Mallory Immethun, Aaron (Katie) Voege, Dale Voege, Reagan Immethun, Harrison Immethun, and Carter Immethun; great-grandchildren Austin Harper, Mackenzie Harper, Rylynn Sturdevant, and Hudson Sturdevant. He is survived by one sister, Pamela J. Peanick, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

Louis requested no flowers for his memorial and wished for any tributes to be made as a memorial donation in support of St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.

 

A visitation will be held Monday June 26, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South City Chapel, 7027 Gravois Ave. St. Louis, MO 63116. Graveside service will be held Tuesday June 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery, with procession leaving the funeral home at 9:30 a.m.
