Luella Rayne Jade Roberts

Some lives are so deeply loved that even the briefest time with them leaves a forever mark.

With hearts forever changed, we announce the passing of our beautiful baby girl, Luella, who peacefully passed away in the loving arms of her father on July 31, 2026.

Although Luella’s time with us was only five months, she filled a lifetime’s worth of love into every moment she was given. Her life reminds us that it is not the number of days we are given that defines us, but the love we leave behind.

From the moment Luella entered this world, she captured every heart around her. Anyone who met her will remember the first two things they noticed—a head full of beautiful hair and the big, bright eyes she shared with her mommy, daddy, and big sister. Through those beautiful eyes, she looked at the world with innocence, curiosity, and a quiet wonder that only a baby possesses.

In Luella’s five short months, she knew nothing but unconditional love, and she gave unconditional love in return. She was deeply cherished by her parents, her big sister, her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousin, extended family, and every person blessed enough to know her. Though her life was brief, the love she gave will remain with us for the rest of our lives.

Though Luella was the smallest among us, she became one of our greatest teachers. Without ever speaking a word, she taught her big sister and her cousin what it meant to be gentle. She showed them that little hands should be held softly, that love can be shown through kindness, and that this world is meant to be shared with others. For that, they will carry her lessons with them, and Luella will forever be a part of who they become.

While we will forever wish we had been given more time, we are grateful for every smile, every cuddle, every milestone, every tiny hand wrapped around a finger, and every precious memory she gave us. Every moment spent with Luella was a gift that will forever be cherished.

There are no words to express the depth of our loss. Luella will always be her daddy’s little girl, her mommy’s precious baby, her sister’s forever little sister, and a treasured granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend.

Although her earthly journey was far too short, Luella’s story does not end here. She lives on in every life she touched, in every story we will continue to tell, and in every gentle hand that reaches for another because of what she taught us. Luella will always have a place in our family, in our hearts, and in the lives of those who loved her.

This beautiful soul was loved unconditionally for every second of her life, and she gave unconditional love in return. Love like hers does not end. It lives on through the people she changed and the family who will carry her memory forever.

We will miss her every day, love her forever, and remember her in everything we do. Our beautiful little girl may have only been here for five months, but she gave our family a lifetime of love.

Luella will forever hold a place in the hearts of her loving parents, Jared Roberts and Lauren Adair; her beloved big sister, Elliana Roberts; her grandparents, Lisa Roberts, William Adair (Diana), and Beth Bradley, née Kirby (Corey); her great-grandparents, Carol Roberts, née Moritz, Bill Kirby, and Ron Adair; her aunts and uncles, Jesse Roberts, Danielle Roberts (Kayland), Bailee Reifsteck (Brandon), Devin “Max” Roberts, Isabel Adair, and William Adair Jr.; her cousin, Ilyana Roberts; and the many family members and loved ones who will carry her memory with them always.

Our sweet angel was welcomed into Heaven by her great-grandfather, Terry Roberts; her great-grandmother, Nancy Kirby, née DeWeese; and her great-aunt, Brenda Pashia—loved ones who passed before her and now hold her close with the same unconditional love that surrounded her here on Earth.

Luella, until we meet again, you are forever loved. Forever missed. Forever ours. Forever young. Forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 from 4-8 pm at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Home South County Chapel, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis, Missouri 63129. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 11 am also at the funeral home.
