Marcia Schulze

May 3, 1931 — May 25, 2026

Marcia Schulze, age 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2026, surrounded by the deep love of her family. She lived a long, full, and joyful life marked by devotion to her family, a passion for creativity, and a warmth that touched all who knew her.

Marcia was born to the late Frank and the late Viola August (née Talich). She was the beloved wife of the late Rudolph “Rudy” Schulze, a proud veteran, with whom she shared 39 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 1994. Their bond was one of enduring love, partnership, and shared creativity. Together, they built not only a life but also a photography studio, where they pursued their mutual passion for capturing life’s special moments.

She was a loving and dedicated mother to Sue Schulze and Sally (Ron) Durrer, and a proud grandmother to Grace (AJ) Frisch and Haley Durrer. Marcia was also a cherished great-grandmother to Charlee Frisch and Callahan Frisch, who brought her immense joy and pride. She was preceded in death by her dear sisters, Shirley, Barbara, and Phyllis, and is further survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will remember her fondly.

Marcia had a creative spirit that shone brightly throughout her life. She loved reading and found great fulfillment in writing poetry, often expressing her deepest thoughts and feelings through her words. Her eye for beauty also found expression in photography, a passion she shared closely with her husband. She took great joy in preserving memories through her lens, leaving behind a visual legacy cherished by those she loved.

In addition to her artistic pursuits, Marcia embraced life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed her martini cocktails, a trip to Culver’s, and cherished time spent with her family. She especially treasured her recent women’s retreat, an experience she spoke of often and held close to her heart.

Above all else, Marcia loved her family. Her pets, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and she never missed an opportunity to celebrate them. Her kindness, laughter, and gentle presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

Marcia will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, reunited once more with the love of her life.

Her family finds comfort in knowing she lived fully, loved deeply, and leaves behind a legacy of warmth, creativity, and enduring love.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorials to Pet Rescue Network and Second Chance Ranch STL.
