Mark Joseph Bansbach

Mark Bansbach passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the age of 58. Son of the late Paul Bansbach and the late Virginia “Posie” Bansbach, nee Hargis; beloved husband of Gina Barbeau-Bansbach; cherished father of Lauren Bansbach; dear brother to Barbara Cockrell, Susan Kennedy, Diane Buescher (Michael), and Sandra Hess (David); uncle and great-uncle to many. Mark is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Mark graduated from St. Louis University with a BS in finance and then went on to work for Smith Management Group as an accountant. Mark was a music lover and played guitar and piano. Mark was also a sports fan, especially of the St. Louis Blues and Cardinals. In his free time, Mark enjoyed camping and float trips.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Salvation Army or the Stray Rescue of St. Louis.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South City Chapel, 7027 Gravois Ave. St. Louis, MO 63116 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial service will be the following morning, Friday, May 26, 2023, 10:00 a.m., also at the funeral home. Interment in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
