Marlene, affectionately known as “Aunt Min,” was born to her late parents Theodore Roosevelt and Evelyn Bell (nee Wooliscroft) Pratten on March 9 in 1931 in Washington County, Pennsylvania. She is remembered for her charming, feisty nature and the boundless love she had to give for those around her. Marlene was known for her dedication to her church community, her unrelenting love and acceptance for others, and her ability to make people feel safe with her. Dogs were especially quick to sense Marlene’s loving nature, and she cultivated a unique and strong bond with Kim’s beloved dog Copper. Marlene kept herself sharp with travel, reading, bowling, and games such as Piceno, BINGO, and Yahtzee. She enjoyed cheering on her favorite sports’ teams, such as the St. Louis Blues, the Chicago Cubs and college football teams, especially Notre Dame.

Marlene’s long and fulfilling life was evident by the endless love she spread throughout her years, the beautiful bonds she built with family and friends alike, and the many memories she created. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to have known her unique soul.
