Mary Ann Elizabeth Schuette

SCHUETTE, MARY ANN (nee Hampel). Baptized in the Hope of Christ’s Resurrection on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Clarence Schuette; dear mother of Nancy, Janice, Daniel (Sarah), Gary (Dianne), and Gregory (Becky) Schuette; dear grandmother of Lauren (Christopher) Dial, Steven (Kaitlyn) Schuette, Valerie (Brian) Gaadt, Andy (Katie) Schuette, Jamie (Mark) Ebel, Greg (Jessica) Schuette, Tommy (Joy) Schuette, and Zack (Randi) Schuette; dear great-grandmother of Jack and Mae Dial, Ava, Barrett, and Lucie Schuette, Ryder, Camille, and August Gaadt, and Eleanor & Eli Ebel, and Oliver and Calvin Schuette; dear sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and dear friend to many.

Mary was a strong-willed woman and was devoted to her faith, a proud parishioner of the retired St. George Catholic Church. She served in many roles in her Church and volunteered in many ways. Mary was proud to celebrate the St. George Parish for the 25^th, 50^th, 75^th, and 100^th year anniversaries. In her free time, Mary enjoyed playing cards. Most of all, Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be missed.

Visitation will be held Tuesday August 1, 2023, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons Funeral Home City Chapel, 7027 Gravois Ave. St. Louis, MO 63116. Funeral Mass will be held the following morning, Wednesday August 2, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Paul II Church, formerly St. George, Mary’s dear Parish. Interment in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 11:15 a.m. with procession leaving from Church.
