It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Mato Borovic, who departed this life peacefully on Monday, May 26th, 2025, at the age of 95; beloved husband of the late Ivanka (nee Dujmovic) Borovic; cherished father of the late Anto Goran (surviving Snjezana) Borovic, the late Tomislav (surviving Diane) Borovic and Marko (Bridget) Borovic; dear grandfather of Tomislav Borovic, Marko Borovic, Kristina Borovic, Matthew Borovic, Jessica Borovic, William Temple, Austin Temple and Isabella Temple.
A man of quiet strength and boundless compassion, he leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear. Above all else, Mato was a family man. His heart belonged to his beloved wife, Ivanka, with whom he shared over 55 beautiful years of marriage. Their bond was one of enduring love and partnership, a shining example of commitment and care. Since Ivanka’s passing in 2016, not a day went by without Mato speaking of her with tenderness and gratitude. Their love story remains a cherished memory for all who knew them.
As a husband, Mato was devoted, gentle, and endlessly supportive. As a father and grandfather, he was a steady presence—always ready with a warm hug, a wise word, or a helping hand. His family was his greatest joy, and he never missed an opportunity to show how deeply he cared.
Mato was also a true friend to many. He had a remarkable gift for making others feel seen and valued. Whether it was a neighbor in need, a friend going through a hard time, or a stranger who simply needed a hand, he was always there, ready to help, to listen, and to give without expecting anything in return.
His kindness, humility, and generosity touched countless lives. He will be remembered not only for the love he gave, but for the way he made others feel loved.
He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
