St. Louis

Matthew "Matt" Wisdom, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on April 15, 2024 in his home at the age of 62 years old.

Matt was a man of simple pleasures with a big heart. He found joy in the little things in life and cherished the moments spent with his family and friends. One of his favorite pastimes was sitting on his porch with a beer and cigarette in hand, watching his dogs play in the yard while engaging in deep conversations  solving the world's problems with his dad.

He received his education from Oakville High School and went on to lead a fulfilling life surrounded by those he loved dearly. Matt had a special bond with his parents Lester "Les" & the late Dorothy (nee Krajewski) Wisdom; He also  shared close relationships with his siblings, the late Mike Wisdom and the late Michelle Wallace.

In his own unique way, Matt made a lasting impact on those around him, sister-in-law and brother-in-law.  He took pride in his nieces and nephews: Patrick (Jamie) Hecht, Ashley (Brett) Johnson, Justin (Madi) Wallace, Brittany (Drew) Bauer, and Shannon Wallace. His dear great nieces and nephews Zoey & Mia Johnson, Ava Hecht, Lillian Wallace, Moore Bauer & Jace Hecht held a special place in his heart.

Matt's love extended beyond his human family as he adored his canine companions. He shared a special bond with his loving dog Charlie who has now crossed the rainbow bridge and is reunited with him once again. His other loyal companion Crackers survives him and continues to bring joy to those who loved Matt.

In this time of loss, let us remember Matthew "Matt" Wisdom for the warmth he brought into the lives of all who knew him. His memory will forever be cherished by his surviving family including; father Lester "Les" Wisdom; sister-in-law Becky Hecht; son-in-law David Wallace nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; as well as Crackers.

May he rest in peace knowing that he was deeply loved and will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. To send flowers to the family in memory of Matthew Stephen Wisdom, please visit our flower store.
