GELDBACH, MELVIN D. entered into rest on Saturday, October 25, 2008, at age 89. Beloved husband for 63 years of Thelma M. Geldbach (nee Dietz); loving father of Carolyn L. (Alan A.) Mason and Sharon R. (Edwin R., Jr.) Schertzer; dear grandfather of Adam (Flavia) Mason, Amanda (Josh) Bultemeier, Aaron (Heather), David (Lindsay) and Kimberly Schertzer and the late Megan Mason; proud great grandfather of Kennady, Reagan, Jackson, and Taylor Schertzer; loyal brother of Eloise Winheim, Calvin (Katharine) and the late John and Warren Geldbach; our dear uncle, cousin, and friend of many. Lifelong member of St. Paul's U.C.C., member of South County Kiwanis, proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII in the 94th Bomb Squadron and retired from Merck & Company. Services: Visitation, Monday, 2 - 8 PM at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS (South County) 4830 Lemay Ferry Road and Tuesday from 9 - 11 AM with funeral service beginning at 11 AM at St. Paul's U.C.C. 5508 Telegraph Road (63129). Interment: St. Paul's U.C.C. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Paul's U.C.C. Memorial Fund would be appreciated. October 27, 2008
