Michael G. Mazo

March 23, 1941 — April 23, 2025

St. Louis

Michael G. Mazo passed away on Wednesday April 23, 2025, at the age of 84. Preceded in death by parents Ernest Grover and Wanda Lee, nee Giles, Mazo, and brother James "Jimmy" Ernest Mazo. Survived by brother David Mazo and sister Anita (Joseph) Stolze, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many dear friends.

Michael lived his long life pursuing and sharing knowledge. Michael worked for many years as a high school teacher in California, but his intelligence and passion for learning extended outside of the classroom. He loved to study history and was fascinated by any sort of architecture. These fascinations combined with Michael's love for traveling lead him on many adventures across and outside of the country. Michael's favorite place in the world - outside of California, that is- was Italy. Although he preferred the subject of history Michael also held an artistic side and was known to greatly appreciate the masterful compositions of Johann Sebastian Bach.

Michael is remembered as an intricate and intelligent brother, uncle, great-uncle, teacher, and friend who made an impression on anyone in the world who got the chance to meet him. He will be missed. May Michael rest in peace.
