Michael "Mike" J. Berry, a dedicated father, beloved son, cherished grandfather, and dear friend, passed away peacefully in Saint Louis, MO, on August 17, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on February 16, 1957, in Saint Louis, Mike spent his life in the community he loved, demonstrating a commitment to hard work, generosity, and an unwavering passion for bringing joy to others.

Throughout his career, Mike owned several businesses, including Jackrabbit Express and I-55 Motor Express, and devoted many years to delivering newspapers. However, it was in 2006 that he discovered his true calling as a school bus driver for Windsor School District. Known affectionately as "Mr. Mike," he became a cherished figure among students, combining his love for children with his passion for driving. His influence on many young lives will be fondly remembered.

Mike approached life with a spirit marked by hard work, dependability, and kindness. Those who knew him will always recall his remarkable ability to share laughter and deliver a well-timed joke. His generosity knew no bounds, making him a beloved figure in the lives of his family, friends, and co-workers.

Mike's interests were diverse, with a particular fondness for automobiles and driving—elements that were prevalent throughout his career. He also enjoyed mowing grass, attending stock car races, and watching NASCAR, pursuits that brought him much joy.

He is survived by his loving children, Danielle, Michael, and Paul Berry; his beloved parents, Joseph A. (the late Charlene) Berry and Nancy M. Berry; his cherished grandchildren, Cody, Adin, Joseph, Roman, Mackayla, Madelyn, Aaliyah, and Stephen; and his treasured siblings, Laura Jones and JoAnn (Jeff) Preis. He was also a step-brother to Randy, Rick, Roger, and the late Ronnie Goldmann, as well as a beloved cousin, uncle, and great uncle. Mike's enduring friendships with Sandy Huson, Tina Walker, Lisa McCulley, and countless colleagues, students, and families from Windsor School District are testament to the impact he had on those around him.
