Myrna Petty

December 8, 1932 — June 27, 2021

Myrna O. Petty, nee Howdeshell, 88, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021. Beloved daughter of the late, Audrey A. and Lillie “Mae”, nee Wilson, Howdeshell, dear mother of Gary (Lisa) Petty and Karen Petty, adoring grandmother of Justin Petty and Alicia (D.J.) Petty, loving great grandmother of Nevah, Rosa, Madalynne, Jacob, and Riley, and sister to Willis and Donnie Ray Howdeshell. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Myrna was also preceded in death by her siblings, Wally, Dolly, Darlene, Marie, and Shirley.

Myrna had a long and successful career in the insurance industry. She was a past president of the National Association of Insurance Women, St. Louis Chapter and was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Myrna loved flowers and gardening, but most all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and friends. She will be missed by all the lives she has touched.

Memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society.

Services: Friends may call from 9:30 am until the time of service at 11:00 am on Friday, July 2, 2021, at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Home South County Chapel.

Interment will be in Freeman Cemetery, Cherryville, Missouri at 1:45 on Friday, July 2, 2021.
