Peggy Ann Morehouse

Peggy Ann Morehouse, nee Schick, passed away on Monday July 22, 2024, at the age of 85. Loving mother of Sandy (Don) Moser and Ken (Patty) Morehouse; cherished grandmother of Renee (Ryan), Tiffany (Robert), and Ted (Lindsey); blessed great-grandmother of Mya, Mason, Gabriella, and Gannon; dear cousin of Carol (Kevin), Ryan (Jessie), and Eric; dear cousin once removed of Henry, Summer, and Charlie; and beloved long-time best friend to Ada.

Peggy was born, ringing in the new year, in January 1939 to parents the late Lester and the late Laverne, nee Mossman, Schick. Throughout her life, Peggy enjoyed the discipline yet freedom she found in being a ballerina. Alongside raising her family, Peggy worked for many years at Target. From the cash registers to the offices, Peggy helped keep a tight ship. In her free time, Peggy could be found playing BINGO or watching her favorite Hallmark movies, especially the Christmas movies.

Peggy is remembered for how strong willed yet loving and family-oriented she was. Her grandchildren will carry memories of her being ready with snacks for them. She will be missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her.

Peggy's visitation will be held on Tuesday July 30, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Chapel, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. St. Louis, MO 63129. Her funeral will be held the following morning, July 31, at 10:00 a.m., also at the funeral home. Interment in St. Trinity Cemetery following her services at the funeral home. Following services, the family invites guests to join them for lunch at Wesley Roger's Steak and Buffet - Arnold. Please be prepared to cover your own meal costs.
