**Peggy S. Weiler**

*April 23, 1934 – July 31, 2024*

Peggy Sue (Cooper) Weiler, age 90, of St. Louis, MO, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, of natural causes. She was born in East Prairie, Missouri, and graduated from Anniston High School before attending secretarial school.

In 1956, Peggy married Donald Weiler. Together, they shared 67 years of marriage and raised four children: Lori Weiler, Gail Daugherty, David (Tricia) Weiler, and Donna (Stephen) Webb. Peggy held several administrative positions over the years, retiring from Maritz Travel Company. Her favorite role, however, was being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Peggy cherished spending time with family more than anything else. She is survived by her four children; grandchildren Shannon, Timothy, and Leah Daugherty, and Jessica Webb; and great-grandchild Ivy Conner. She is also survived by her sisters Joyce (Al) Levengood, Gloria (Bill) Monn, Janet (Pete) Ugrinich, and Judith (Wilton) Steele. Peggy was predeceased by her husband, Donald; her parents, Vernon Miles Cooper and Fiejane (Prosser) Cooper; and her brothers, Gary Cooper, James (Virginia) Cooper, Glenn (Phyllis) Cooper, and Vernon Gale Cooper.

Peggy loved socializing with friends and family and never met a stranger. She enjoyed being a greeter at Concord Trinity United Methodist Church, playing in a golf league, and participating in a bridge group with the same friends for over 50 years. Peggy also enjoyed singing and dancing and was a talented vocalist.

A memorial service will be held at Concord Trinity United Methodist Church on Thursday, August 8, with visitation at 9:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. A luncheon at the church will follow the service. Interment will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 10:45 AM on Friday, August 9. In lieu of flowers, donations to a favorite charity are welcomed in honor of Peggy’s memory.
