Lichtenstein, Priscilla (nee VonBehren) Entered into rest on the 28th day of August 2024, at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Gerhard Lichtenstein; Devoted mother of Allen (Leila) Lichtenstein and Pamela (Walter) Schmidt; Cherished grandmother of Patrick (Amanda), Kate (Aran), Emily, Tom, and Julie; and cherished great grandmother of Ryan
Priscilla was born on December 2, 1934, in Hermann, MO to the late Erwin and late Lottie Von Behren. Priscilla grew up in south St. Louis near the Bevo Mill and graduated from Cleveland High School. She married the late Gerhard Lichtenstein on February 20, 1960 and they celebrated 54 years of marriage and raised two children, Allen and Pamela. The couple resided in Afton, MO for most of their married life and later moved to Arnold, MO. Priscilla was devoted to her children and grandchildren who affectionately called her Grandma Butch named after the family beagle.
Priscilla worked for over twenty years for Renard Paper Company as a bookkeeper and loved many St. Louis traditions including the St. Louis Cardinals, Ted Drewes, the Muny Opera and walking in Francis Park with her friends.
Memorial donations may be made in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
Priscilla's visitation will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 10:00 a.m until her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS SOUTH COUNTY, 4830 Lemay Ferry Road (63129). Interment is private.
