Richard Allen Parr

Richard Allen Parr, age 88 of St. Louis, Missouri, graduated to Heaven on June 5, 2026. He was born September 17, 1937, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Leona Elenora (nee Knaust) and the late Alexander Henry Parr.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Donna Marie (née Stackley) Parr; daughters Diane (Harold) Eaker of House Springs, MO and Karen (Robert) Howard of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren Adam Howard and Jonah Howard; sister Joan (Donald) Ward of St. Louis, MO.

His brothers John (Jack, twin of Joan) and Robert (Bob) Parr preceded him in death.

Richard was a 1955 graduate of Festus High School. He was selling calculators when he met Donna Stackley at Monsanto. They married in November of 1962, the same year he started his truck driving career at United Parcel Service. He retired in 1993 with a 30 year safe driving record.

A longtime member of First Baptist Church, Arnold, MO, he drove buses, ushered, and was a deacon. He had a servant’s heart, always wanting to help others.

He enjoyed working in the yard, fixing things, and woodworking projects. He also liked to travel and visited Africa, Mexico, Grand Caymans, Alaska and many of the “lower 48” states.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorials donated to Source of Light Missions.
