Rose Marie Sheedy, nee Meshelski, Baptized in the Hope of Christ’s Resurrection on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the age of 87. Beloved wife of, and reunited in Heaven with, the late Donald “Don” Paul Sheedy Sr; devoted mother of sons Don (Chris) Sheedy Jr, Chris Sheedy, Ken (Lisa Ahlgren) Sheedy, and John Sheedy; blessed grandmother of Brendan Sheedy and Justin Sheedy; dear sister of the late Joseph Meshelski Jr. and the late Dorothy Travis; and cherished aunt and great-aunt. Rose is also survived by many other dear relatives and friends.

Rose was born days away from Thanksgiving on November 20, 1938, to parents Joe Sr. and Viola Mae, nee Walsh, Meshelski, an auspice of the countless gifts and humble faith that Rose would share throughout her fulfilling life.

Rose will be remembered for the steady love and devotion she gave to her family throughout her life. While she never worked outside of the home, she gave herself fully to caring for those she loved and to making their house a true home. She was a proud and faithful sports mom, always there for her four sons, offering her presence, encouragement, and unwavering support through the many moments that shaped their lives.

She was also an alumna of Rosati-Kain Academy, a connection that remained part of her story over the years. Beyond her dedication to family, Rose found joy in friendship and fellowship. She greatly enjoyed playing Bunco and did so consistently with friends for 55 years. The game brought her lasting community, happy companionship, and the kind of thoughtful strategy she appreciated for keeping her mind sharp.

Rose’s life was marked by constancy, warmth, and quiet strength. She created comfort for others, stood by her family with love, and treasured the friendships that enriched her days. She will be remembered with deep affection by all who knew her, and her memory will remain a blessing. We mourn our loss of Rose’s inimitable presence, but we celebrate that she is united with the Lord and her family in Heaven. May she rest in peace.
