Sharon Annette Voorhees

Sharon A. Voorhees, nee Starr, passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 67. Beloved mother of Amelia “Amy” (Jeff) Hahn and the late Lacie Starr, cherished grandmother of Hope Starr and Desi White, dear sister of Dale (Mary) Starr, the late Gary Starr, Debbie Jones, Patty (John) Handyside and Kenny (Diana) Jones. She was preceded in death by her mother Ruth “Geri” Starr, nee Dunn, her father Chester Starr, and her stepmother Sharon Bennet.

Sharon loved people and took great joy in caring for and helping others as well as taking care of her beloved cats, Ghost and Shadow. She had an incredible artistic gift, Dremel-etching glass. Sharon also enjoyed a good espresso martini. She worked many dedicated years in cybersecurity for Bank of America. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Memorial services will be held at 11 am, Saturday, September 12, 2026, with visitation starting at 10 am at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Home, South County Chapel, 4860 Lemay Ferry Rd. St Louis, Missouri 63129.
