Theodore John “Ted” Kettmann, age 90, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026. He was a long time resident of Hillsboro, Missouri. He was born on September 6, 1935, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Anyone who knew him, knew him to be a man of values and strength. He was known for his hardworking nature and deep appreciation for the outdoors. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life: gardening, fishing and hunting trips. He was a lifelong train enthusiast, enjoying everything from full size locomotives to expansive model railroad layouts.
Ted shared many years of marriage with his beloved wife Lorraine Kettmann, who preceded him in death. Together they built a life grounded in love and commitment. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Pamela Alexander and his sister Dorothy Coggins.
He is remembered by his son, Theodore “Ted” Kettmann (Mitzi), daughter, Elizabeth “Liz” Hochbrueckner, grandchildren Stephanie, Kyle, Aimee, Marissa, Danielle, Ryan and Lexi, eight great grandchildren, as well as by his brother Eugene Kettmann.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a lasting reminder of a life lived with purpose.
