Thomas Morgan

September 30, 1935 — October 24, 2020

Thomas Edward Morgan (85) passed away peacefully Saturday, October 24, 2020 at his home in Kennett,  Missouri  surrounded by immediate family.  Tom was born September 30,1935 to Floyd and Bertha (Ferenbach) Morgan  in St. Louis, Missouri.  He was the third oldest of eleven children.

Tom served in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1956, enlisting at the age of 17 with permission from his parents, on the U.S.S. Fitch - DMS 25. He continued his service to country as a postal carrier totaling 41 years.

Tom lead his life fully committed to faith, family and country. An exemplary youth soccer and life coach. Together with his beloved wife of 62 years, Martha Sue (Chamberlain) Morgan, they raised four children; Daniel (Laurie), David (Tammy), Donna Boxdorfer and Paul (Kris).  He was a loving grandfather of 7 and great grandfather to 7. Tom coached girls softball, baseball, soccer, leading both girls and boys scouts. He loved exploring all that nature offered with his family, enjoying camping, hiking, caving, canoeing and boating.

He was the third oldest of eleven children;  His surviving siblings: Marge Maurer, Berni Polizzi, Larry (Flo), Jim, and Chris (Karen).
Preceded in death by siblings Anne Krupinski, Joe, Frank, Pete, and Kay Weston.

Devoted to his Catholic faith he adored the Church, Rosary and the Shrine to St. Mary in Perryville, Missouri. The phrase "Faith of Our Fathers" meant so much to Tom. In his senior years he was actively involved with the American Legion, V.F.W. and volunteering at his church including teaching citizenship classes and raising funds for St. Jude Children's Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Perryville, Missouri or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
