Thomas S. Thompson, age 61, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2026, with the love of his life by his side. Surrounded by love, Tom left this world the same way he lived in it; with warmth, kindness, and an open heart.
Tom was the beloved son of the late Billie and Charlotte Thompson (née Wienhoff) and the devoted husband of Colleen Thompson (née LeClere), his wife of 38 beautiful years. Colleen was truly his everything. Their marriage was a partnership defined by deep love, loyalty, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Tom put his wife above all else; she was his heart, his home, and his greatest joy. To know Tom was to know how deeply and proudly he loved Colleen.
He was a cherished brother to Bill Thompson and Toni (Wayne) Simpson, and a dear brother-in-law to the late Irene (Roger) Hoff and Kathy (the late John) Shirley. Tom was loved beyond measure and leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, cousins, and friends. He was affectionately known as being a bonus “Uncle Tom” to countless people who were lucky enough to cross his path; a title earned simply by being who he was.
Tom never met a stranger. His friendly spirit, easy smile, and genuine interest in others made everyone feel welcome and valued. He enjoyed hockey, football, golf, fishing, boating, and traveling, and he especially cherished the moments spent sharing those passions with the people he loved. Above all, he will be remembered for his big heart, his loyalty, his humor, and the way he made life brighter just by being present.
Tom will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the many lives he touched so effortlessly.
