Vickie Moseley

September 9, 1947 — April 23, 2024

Saint Louis City

Vickie Lee Moseley died April 23, 2024 in St. Louis. We lost her slowly and suddenly after a long battle with dementia.  The daughter of Marvin Moenck and Virginia Williams, Vickie was born on September 9, 1947 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Vickie moved to Moberly, when her mother remarried, Hershel Williams. As a teenager, Vickie was a member of the first graduating class of the Blue Corps and she worked as a patient care tech at Community Hospital in Moberly. She graduated from Moberly High School in 1965.  After high school, Vickie moved to St. Louis, where she attended one year of nursing school. While in St. Louis, Vickie joined the Alton Water Ski club, where she met Robert Pridmore, her first spouse. She performed in many water ski shows in St. Louis.  Robert and Vickie raised two children, Michael and Sara, together and separately.  Her most beloved job was raising her children, but she also worked at Emerson Electric as an engineer assistant.  While working at Emerson, Vickie met Will Moseley, whom she was briefly married to. Vickie ended her career providing clerical support to the physicians at the St. Ann OBGYN Clinic.

Vickie will be remembered as a proud mother and joyful grandmother, who loved nothing more than visiting her grandchildren (Lydia Pridmore, Dylan, Jacob, and Molly Allen).  She had an endearing way of making holidays and special occasions feel special through her over-the-top decorations, treats and traditions. She loved to create floral arrangements, sew, and tend her garden, and her creative spirit will live on in her children and grandchildren, who also inherited Vickie’s desire to travel.

Vickie is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Moenck, of Cedar Rapids, IA, Hershel and Virginia Williams, of Moberly, MO.

She is survived by her children, Michael Pridmore, of St. Louis, MO and Sara (Brian) Allen, Nashville, TN, her grandchildren Lydia Pridmore, Dylan, Jacob, and Molly Allen, her siblings, Dennis (Nora) Moenck, of Moberly, MO, Karla (Steve) Skinner, of Moberly, MO, Larry (Connie) Williams, of Quincy, IL, Wayne (Vivian) Williams, of Springfield, MO, Anita Munson, Central City Iowa, Craig Moenck, Cedar Rapids, Iowa and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to the Alzheimer's Association Greater Missouri Chapter.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 3rd, 2024 at 1 PM. Services will be held at the Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Home, 7027 Gravois, St. Louis, MO 63116.
