Victor Dautenhahn

June 5, 1921 — March 4, 2023

Victor was born in Clayton, Illinois, on June 5, 1921, of parents Ernst and Alvina (Gerike) Dautenhahn. After graduating from high school he attended Concordia Theological Seminary (Missouri Synod) in Springfield, Illinois. He was married to Sylvia Goodbrake on October 23, 1965. Victor was a long time member of Hope Lutheran Church in St. Louis. He had a long career as an editor at Concordia Publishing House in St. Louis. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Sylvia, and his siblings, Ella Moehring and Harold Dautenhahn. Victor was a man of deep and profound faith. He was a wonderful witness of faithfulness and love to his family and friends. We are thankful for his life of service to his Lord Jesus, his family, and his Church. We give thanks and are comforted in knowing Victor is now home with his Savior. He will be remembered and missed by nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
