Virginia "Ginny" Meier, nee Renick, entered into rest on Tuesday October 22, 2024, on her 61st birthday. Beloved wife of Kevin Charles Meier; devoted mother of Jacob Meier and James "Jimmy" Meier; cherished sister of Joseph Renick, James Renick, and Margaret Knackstedt, nee Renick; treasured aunt to 5 nieces and 4 nephews; great-aunt to many great-nieces and great-nephews; dear cousin and friend to many.
Ginny was born in St. Louis to parents the late William and the late Mary Renick, nee Smith, in 1963. Ginny would go on to attend the esteemed St. Louis University where she would earn her Bachelor's Degree. She found employment at Shriner's Hospital where she worked for many years as an office worker before she continued to work from home for many additional years. She loved to travel, but when she was at home, she found great joy in decorating for holidays, cooking, and baking. Ginny especially loved sharing her meals and creations at parties and dinner events, which she loved to host. Ginny's dedication and time extended outside of the workplace and home, as she volunteered at her children's school for several years. In quieter moments, Ginny could be found reading. An avid reader, Ginny belonged to a monthly book club where she could share her insights, knowledge, and love of books.
Ginny was a treasured wife, mother, aunt, and friend, who touched many lives throughout her life. She will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. May Ginny rest in peace.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to American Cancer Society.
