Virginia A. Vintorin, age 103, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. A lifelong example of love, kindness, and quiet strength, Virginia lived a long and meaningful life devoted to family, home, and caring for others.
She was born to the late John and Agnes Kowalski and was the devoted wife of Frank M. Vintorin, with whom she shared 29 loving years of marriage before his passing. Virginia was a cherished mother to Terry (the late Bernie) Ems and Judy L. Awtrey, and a beloved grandmother to Mandy (Charles) Montgomery, Jennifer Hart, Jason R. (Kristy) Awtrey, Jessica A. Awtrey, and Jeremy M. (Brenda) Awtrey. She was also a treasured great‑grandmother to Gavin Montgomery, Devan Montgomery, Dylan (Megan) Awtrey, Delaney Hart, Emma, Kameron, Destiny Keown, Hunter Keown, Rhyder Awtrey, and McKenzie Awtrey, and a proud great‑great‑grandmother to Kora Awtrey.
Virginia was further blessed to serve as a loving nanny to Amanda, Anne, and Danny Fox, as well as Maddy, Danny, and Erin Reardon, caring for them with devotion, patience, and affection.
She is further survived by her dear niece Virginia Smith and great‑nephew Brian Smith, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply.
Virginia had a big heart and a gentle spirit, always finding joy in taking care of others. She was an avid sewer and seamstress, spending countless hours sewing with love and care. She enjoyed decorating her home, cooking, and baking for those she loved, believing that food and handmade things were expressions of love. She was also an animal lover and shared a special bond with her beloved poodles, Tessie and Dusty, who brought her comfort and companionship.
Virginia lived a quiet and happy life, rich in simple joys, strong family bonds, and steady love. Her legacy lives on through the generations she nurtured, the warmth she shared, and the many lives she touched with her kindness.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
