Walter William Fox III (Bill), age 79, passed peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was the devoted husband of Mary Jane Fox and a loving father to Walter William Fox IV (Josie), Krista (Kevin), Christopher (Kelli), and Samantha Fox. Blessed to be the grandfather of Walter W. Fox V, River Messmer, and Elliott Fox. Brother to Vicki Kasparek. Dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Bill was a proud U.S. Army veteran. He had a distinguished career as a Special Agent in the Criminal Investigation Unit of the IRS and later worked for the Missouri Gaming Commission.
Services: Visitation- Sunday January 11, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS FUNERAL HOMES (South County - 4830 Lemay Ferry). Funeral- the following day, January 12, beginning at 12:00 noon at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS FUNERAL HOMES (South County - 4830 Lemay Ferry). Interment- Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
To honor Bill’s memory, the family suggests memorial donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.
