Our dear uncle, Walter Joe Krekel passed away on September 4, 2023 at the age of 69. Born in St. Louis on June 6, 1954, to Helen and Walter Krekel, he was preceded in death by both parents and his sister, Linda Moeller.
As a young man, Joe loved riding his custom chopper cross country, customizing classic cars, and watching auto racing. Joe was a long time member of the United Auto Workers (UAW) and retired from the Chrysler Corporation.
He is survived by his niece, Kari Boeger of Alameda, California, and his nephew, James Moeller of Olathe, Kansas.

Walter J Krekel navigated life with a gentleness and set of simple joys and interests. He will be remembered by those who knew him. Rest in peace.
