Wesley "Lee" Tevik

June 5, 1958 — August 31, 2022

Wesley “Lee” Albert Tevik, 64, of Saint Louis, Missouri, passed away at home on Wednesday August 31, 2022. He fought to stay with his family, so that he could share as much life as he could with us, but ultimately, he had to leave, and he left us peacefully, comforted by and holding the hands of each of his children. He was born in Duluth, Minnesota, on June 5th, 1958 and grew up in Webster Groves, Missouri. He held those he loved close to him and he fiercely loved his family.

Lee’s careers were primarily in the printing industries. He proudly served in the United States Army as a Medical Specialist, and his passion for medicine and serving others is shared by his family. Lee had a rich love for history and culture, and he especially enjoyed both listening to and playing classical rock and folk music, with an encyclopedic knowledge of bands and music from the classic rock era. He shared his love for music with all who surrounded him, and the luckiest were those who got to sit back and listen to him sing and play his guitar. But his largest passion was for his family, whom he loved dearly. He made sure to be early to every family event, and he was always completely present, with a baby in his arms, or a child on his lap, cherishing the large family he created. He shared his wisdom with us, subtly giving us advice without us even realizing how much he guided us. He made time for us all, to listen to, worry about, and care about each of us. There was nothing more important to him than loving his family, and he let us know constantly, showing us in everything he said and did. He is desperately missed by us all.

Lee shared and wrote some thoughts recently to his children, “ ‘In my life’ there is NO situation, difficulty, trouble or circumstance that cannot be addressed, acknowledged and most importantly resolved by a ‘Beatles’ song. In memory of Lee, consider taking a moment, enjoy a Beatles song, reflect on life and find peace.

He is survived by his children Melissa (Chris), Brian (Tina), Paul (Tasha) as well as 10 grandchildren Cory, Jay, Julian, Emma, Makinsey, Noah, Josephina, Christina, Paul Jr., Paisley; as well as his sister, Dorothy, brothers Mike (Julie), Philip, and Douglas (Stacy), his nieces and nephews, Stacy (Chris), Kristin, JJ, Tabitha, Abigail, Bethany, and Carol, and great-nieces and nephews Ayden, Kaylin and Thomas. Lee is preceded in Heaven by his brother, Neal and his father, Wesley Tevik and mother, Karol Kuhlman.
