William B Campey

Campey, William B. passed away on Sunday September 10, 2023. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Doris Campey, nee Shaner, as well as his parents Leo & Lena, nee Beck Campey.

Dear Father of Cynthia (Dennis) Dalton and Jeffrey (Carol) Campey. Loving Grandfather of Kyle (Morgan) Campey, Joshua (Taylor) Dalton, Blake (Alison) Campey, Taylor (Andrew) Narvick, Laura (Jon) Warnes, Lana (Dean) Sargent, Nathan (Amanda) Stollhans. Great Grandpa to 20 and Great-great Grandpa to 13.

Bill was a United States Army Veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division serving during the Korean War. Later in life, Bill was known as a dedicated Union leader from 1960 until 1992 when he retired as President of the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 655. He was also dedicated to his church, Affton Presbyterian Church, as not only a long-time member, but also as an Elder.

In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to Wounded Warriors.

Visitation will be held on Monday September 18, 2023, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenehin & Sons South County Chapel, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis, MO 63129. Funeral will be held the following morning, Tuesday September 19, at 11:00 a.m., also at the funeral home. Interment in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m
