Gaffney, William "Bill", 74, of Parkville, MO, passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Kansas City. Bill was born August 26, 1942, in Lincoln, IL and lived most of his life in St. Louis. He attended St. Louis School of Pharmacy where he met the love of his life, of 42 years, Mary Schwinke Gaffney. They owned Broadway Pharmacy for over 20 years, then he became a pharmacy investigator for the State of Illinois. He retired at 62 to care for Mary who died of MS in 2008. He moved to KC to be closer to Laura and her family. He was an intelligent good man. He loved history, traveling (he visited 6 continents), Star Wars, Coca Cola and Cupcake. All he wanted in life was to be happy, loved and respected. Many thanks to the dear friends and neighbors who did so much to help our family. He leaves behind his daughter Laura Gaffney, MD, her husband Tim Elliott, MD and granddaughter Ambika.
