Yvonne J. Wagner passed away peacefully on Friday morning, August 29, 2025, at the age of 89. Born to the late Ted and Johanna Teske, Yvonne lived a life filled with grace, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family, community and church.
She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth F. Wagner, with whom she shared nearly 50 years of loving marriage. Yvonne was a devoted mother to Debbie (the late Jay) Kramer, Linda (Kevin) Greaser, and the late Kathryn (Jim) Kaegel. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Jason (Cori Steiner) Kramer, TJ (Lynsea) Bierschwal, Dr. Stuart (Andrea) Greaser, Matt Bierschwal, Kelby Kramer, and Dr. Josh (Dr. Karolina Pogorzelski-Greaser) Greaser. She was a proud great-grandmother to Riley Greaser, Emma Greaser, Leo Bierschwal, Colin Greaser, and Scarlet Bierschwal.
Yvonne was a dear sister to Sharon (the late Lloyd) Walker and Dwight (Joani) Teske, and she will be deeply missed by many other loving family members and friends.
Yvonne was known for her sweet, patient, and kind nature. She had a heart that always sought to make others happy, and her gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was witty, clever, and occasionally a little sassy—qualities that made her both endearing and unforgettable.
Her passions were many. She loved gardening and took great pride in maintaining a pristine lawn, meticulously keeping every twig out of her yard. She had a beautiful singing voice, loved to whistle, and found joy in playing the piano. Yvonne also had a flair for fashion, she liked to stay dressed up, often wearing heels and her signature lipstick.
She was actively involved in the Mehlville Garden Club, Bible study, book club, and investment club. A woman of deep faith, Yvonne was a former member of Good Shepherd Church and a dedicated supporter of Shriners Children's Hospital. Her generosity and compassion touched countless lives.
Yvonne was also an avid collector of hat pins and carnival glass, treasures that reflected her appreciation for beauty and history.
Her family finds comfort in knowing she is reunited with her loved ones who passed before her and that her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
