Zachary Kent Warner

Zachary Kent Warner, 34, passed away Saturday morning, December 13, 2025, surrounded by loved ones after fighting headstrong against cancer for nearly two years.

Zach was born in Quincy, IL, to Jeffrey Warner and Teena Trantor Warner. An events coordinator by trade, Zach spent the past 5 years in St Louis, MO, working at the Missouri Botanical Garden and building community at CrossFit Ready2Live. His passions included live music, spending time at his family’s cabin, perfecting the greatest cup of coffee, and being a light in the lives of those he loved. Zach was the loving partner of 8 years to Lauren Fernandes Jared; cherished brother to Lyndsey Martin; doting uncle to Xóchitl Shafer-Warner; and dedicated son to Teena Warner, all of whom survive him. Zach is also survived by his two poodles, Boris and Chaga. He is preceded in death by his father, Jeffrey Warner (2024), and his grandparents.

All who knew Zach are asked to gather with his family and friends for a Celebration of Life on Thursday, January 15th, 2026, 6pm at Red Flag in St Louis, MO. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Zach's GoFundMe, which will help cover final arrangements and fund a memorial tree in his honor at the Missouri Botanical Garden.
