Zandra was born in St. Louis, Missouri, December 1953, bringing extra joy and hope to her family’s holiday season. That joy and hope would continue to surround Zandra throughout her life, which was filled with countless friendships and memories. After graduating from Bishop Du Bourg High School in 1972, Zandra continued expanding her knowledge and relationships at St. Louis University Nursing School. Zandra made her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse, helping countless people working in reputable hospitals including St. Louis University as well as the Physician’s Offices at SSM and BJC.
Zandra’s helpful role in healthcare and her family was conducive to her social and loving personality. The care that she had for people and their lives made a memorable difference for everyone she met. Zandra’s ability and prioritization of keeping contact with friends and family helped keep the relationships she held strong and reminded those in her life how dear they are.
When there was free time available, Zandra enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii. The breathtaking scenery and inviting atmosphere would grant her instant relaxation and peace.
Above all, Zandra is remembered for the love she held for her family. As everyone's favorite aunt, the experiences, empathy, and stories that Zandra shared with her loved ones will remain with and be cherished by them for generations to come.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Annie’s Hope or Let’s Win Pancreatic Cancer Foundation in Zandra’s honor.
Respectfully, there are no services at this time, but a memorial service will be held at a later date. In line with Zandra’s always caring and selfless personality, she has proudly and generously partaken in Washington University’s Anatomical Gift Program, continuing to help in the medical sciences.
We weep for our loss, but we celebrate the accomplishments and memories of Zandra’s fulfilling life. May her soul rest in peace.
