Arthur Scruggs

July 13, 1933 — August 21, 2021

Arthur David Scruggs passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Judith J. Scruggs, (nee Fiock).  Son of the late Leonard and Helen Scruggs (nee Krueger).  Beloved father of Linda (Dave) Becker and Lisa (Jim) Diedrich.  Beloved Grandfather of Eleanor Becker, and Alicia and Denise Diedrich.  Great Grandfather of Jonathan and Addison Diedrich.  Brother of Carl Scruggs and the late Donald Read.  Survived by loving relatives and many dear friends.

Arthur was an Air Force veteran, and a devoted member of Prince of Peace United Church of Christ. He retired from United Van Lines and enjoyed his time fishing, bowling, and admiring nature. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals. He is a proud graduate of Cleveland High School and enjoyed their alumni organization.

In honor of Arthur, please make your donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Visitation will be on Friday, August 27, 2021, 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at John L. Ziegenhein & Son’s South County Location, 4830 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, Mo.

Service will be on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Prince of Peace United Church of Christ, 4966 Towne South Road, St. Louis, MO., Interment in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
