Bruce Salazar

August 23, 1949 — June 5, 2020

Salazar, Bruce E., of Saint Louis, Missouri, was born August 23, 1949, in Mobile, Alabama to James and Fay (nee McMillan) Salazar and entered into rest Friday, June 5, 2020 in Saint Louis, Missouri at the age of 70 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sheila Salazar.

He is survived by, his loving wife of 49 years, Jan Salazar, three (3) children, Shelly Salazar, Nicky Labarbera and Jim (Dawn) Salazar, four (4) grandchildren, Brian Sickage, James Salazar, Jr., Michael Labarbera and Jakob Salazar, one (1) brother, Jim (Young) Salazar, and many other relatives and friends.

Bruce loved his family and they were the most important to him. He enjoyed joking around with everyone. Bruce treasured the time he was able to spend at the beach. He was always first to lend a helping hand. He gave many a place to live when they had no where to go. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 15, 2020 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons, 4830 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63129. Due to Covid-19 policies we ask everyone to wear a mask in the building. 10 will be allowed in at a time. Service and Interment will be private due to restrictions. Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
