Cusumano, Cary died suddenly on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at the age of 45.
Cary had his Master's Degree in Education from Lindenwood University.
Cary was the Girls Division Director at High Performance Volleyball Club for the past 12 years.
From being a player in CYC to SLUH to club- then, on to coaching CYC to Notre Dame high school to club to Lindenwood University to HP - then, to director at HP- his love and passion for the game showed through every single day of his life.
Volleyball IS Cary Cusumano and it has been so comforting to our family to see the incredible amount of lives he touched- not just the St. Louis volleyball community but the national volleyball community also. He was so loved and respected.
Cary was a special friend to all but, especially, his dear friend, the late Tom Rotermund.
Cary is survived by his devoted parents, Donald & Patricia (nee McCarthy) Cusumano; his cherished siblings Donna (Michael) Campbell, Theresa (Andy) Sciaroni, Karen (Ed) Naeger, Christy (Dan) Briegleb and Rick (Amy Reidel) Cusumano; Beloved nieces & nephews Ellen (AJ), Sean (Meghan), Kevin, Maria (Whitney), Anna (Zach), Jenna, Laura, Eddie, Joe (Joanne), Jake, Alex, and Vera. Beloved great niece & nephews Jaxon, Addison & Quinn. Dear nephew, cousin and friend to many.
Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 9:00 am until Funeral Mass @ 11:00 am at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 6303 Nottingham Ave. St. Louis, Mo 63109.
