David Bales

Bales, David R., of Clayton, Missouri, was born to Ralph and Frieda (nee Peters) Bales and entered into rest Sunday, April 3, 2022, at home surrounded by his family at the age of 81 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Karen R. Bales.

He is survived by, his loving wife of 42 years, Mary (nee Wertman) Bales; other relatives and friends.

David had a passion for trains and loved traveling on them. He adored animals and had a fondness for dogs. David will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to National Museum of Transportation, 2933 Barrett Station Road, St. Louis (63122) and/or Humane Society of Missouri, 1201 Macklind Ave, St. Louis (63110).

Services will be handled by John L. Ziegenhein & Sons. Interment at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Hoyleton, Illinois.
