Dorothy Jean Meppiel (nee Quante)

86, of South County on December 29, 2020 slipped peacefully away during the night. Loving companion to Michael Carter. Dear mother of Mary (Ernie) Higgs, Theresa (Steve) Jennewein, Chris Berghold (Andrea), Jeanne (Gary) Alphin, the late Darrel Berghold, and Stephen Berghold. Dear sister of Donnie Quante (Judy). Dorothy was a wife, sister-in-law, mother, cousin, aunt, great aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and good friend to many. She was a very giving person. She knew how to live life to the fullest. Making friends and singing were her favorite things to do. She was a member of the St. Louis County Community Choir and also sang in church choirs. she was loved and will be missed.

Services: Visitation Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 3:00-7:00pm at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons (4830 LEMAY FERRY ROAD St. Louis, Missouri 63129). Memorial Mass Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 10:00 am at Seven Holy Founders Church (6737 S Rock Hill Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123). Inurnment Resurrection Cemetery.
