E. Kevin Fitzgerald Sr.

E. Kevin Fitzgerald Sr. went home to the Lord on November 29, 2022.  He left in peace surrounded by loved ones.

Kevin lived a long and happy life. Kevin graduated from Bishop Duburg High school in 1957.

He joined the Marine Corps and served honorably for 3 years.  Following his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps he joined the St. Louis Police Department.

After serving with the Mobile Reserve in the St Louis Police Department he pursued a career in the car business.  He worked for and was mentored by Dave Sinclair Sr.  Throughout the years, he owned and managed various car dealerships until retiring in 2002.

In his youth he was an avid baseball player and was a lifelong Cardinals fan.  He enjoyed golfing and lunch with friends and his late brother Jim. Nothing brought him more pleasure than being with his family and friends.

Throughout retirement he lived in St Louis and Denver, Colorado.

Kevin is survived by his former wife Dolores, five children: E. Kevin Jr. (Dawn) Fitzgerald, Kathleen (Andrew) Silverstein, Brigid (Barka) Fitzgerald-Atsemet, Megan (TJ) Bross, and Kevin P. Fitzgerald.  Devoted grandfather to Courtney, Thomas, Jude, Ainsley, Joey, Jonah, and Gabe. Kevin was an uncle and great friend to many.  He is preceded in death by his father, William M. Fitzgerald, his mother, Kathryn Levy-Fitzgerald, his two brothers, William, (Francis) Fitzgerald and James (Lorraine) Fitzgerald.

Kevin will be honored on December 9, 2022 at John L. Ziegenhein Funeral Home, located at 4830 Lemay Ferry rd. St. Louis, Mo.
